She take ma moneeeee...
Every morning we wake up with a song in our collective brains. It is weird. The other day it was 'Golddigger'; yesterday it was 'My Humps'; today, this love is getting expensive.
Indeed. Just dropped a wad on some jewelry (not all for me) and now I have no more money. Actually that's not true, I'm just a hop skip and a jump to an ATM.
We keep losing stuff. From passports to maps to general stuff... today I bought some t-shirts and promptly lost them, somewhere between buying J-Lo style floppy hats and Chinese food. Very annoyed. I mean it only cost so much, but now it's going to cost twice as much because i have to replace them! Grr.
Last night we went to Bamboo Bernie's. Admittedly I was not in the mood to party, but you know, 6-7 mudslides tend to change your mind. I also was able to employ my wedding band trick and whaddadoo, no islanders hit on me. Yay! Not that the attention isn't nice, it's just that it's not wanted. And kind of annoying when you want to dance and do your own thing and some guy is grinding against you. That isn't your boyfriend. Grr.
Tonight we are going scuba diving, our last dive before we go home, a night dive. Should be interesting! Then we are off to Pineapple Pete's. No, not all the restaurants are named with the same starting letters. There is a Jimbo's...
Ok my internet thingee is saying i have two minutes left on this computer. So this is probably my last post. Still having fun, but glad to be coming home. Warm it up for me folks!

Time goes by. So slowly.
after four days of mostly great sunshine (sunday it rained), today is overcast and looks like rain. i can see blue skies but i think lobsterizing is out of the question today. we are going into town to do some souvenir shopping - i've bought some stuff for myself already, namely a beach towel with a st. maarten map on it, and a photo album made out of banana leaves and stuff, and a purse. and postcards. now i don't think i need anything for myself (unless some jewelry catches my eye) but I think i'm going to get souvenirs for everyone else! namely booze. boooooooze!
last night we went to a club called Bliss, it was nice, but at first i wasn't into it, mostly because the crowd seemed pretentious and the music was euro trashy. then i started drinking and it all got better. they played Usher for Tanya and that started it off. the night before we were at... bamboo bernie's taking advantage of the free drinks for ladies after 10 PM... managed to get a ride home with a couple who were our resort neighbours. we wended up spending the day with them yesterday and it totally felt like they were the parents and we were the kids. not that they were that much older, but they were definitely parental age.
wednesday we were supposed to start our dive classes but Blondie was stricketn with some weird nausea from her motion sickness patch. We postponed our lessons and went to pinel island instead. we decided to do some snorkelling, which would have been much more fun for me had we not decided to swim from shore to the snorkel area.. because we hit some coral reef and i scratched up my arm something bad. actually it was all cut up and bloody... it's scabbing now but it a little painful still. should i take a picture of it? hmm. Tanya got to see lots of fish and attracted them with a bottle full of mushy dog chow.
for two nights now tanya and i have been playing a game. it's a lot of fun! i'm winning 13.5 to 9.5. we shall see by the end of this trip who wins. hehe.
monday we are definitely doing the scuba diving thing. i decided that while i do enjoy scuba diving... i don't like snorkelling. mostly because with scuba you have more room and can control yourself a bit more. at least that is what it seems to me. anyway, looking forward to that.
